Trend Alert

I met up with a friend this week and after a catch-up and gossip we cracked out this months ELLE a magazine i am religious follower of - for me Vogue is more a picture book which is great although i feel inferior reading, envious of the models and their amazing bodies - i sadly could and never will look like that.

But yes for me ELLE has a great balance of fashion and intresting articles that each month i crave whereas a magazine such as Marie Claire although filled with articles, the fashion element is somewhat lacking.

So there we were cosied up on my sofa flicking through and then we reached the section of the magazine of upcoming trends:

Easy Luxe
- loved this as i am all for comfort

New trousers
- i hate my thighs so therefrore i am staying clear from this trend i only tend to wear skinnies or dresses

New Denim
- so not for me i dislike strongly denim shirts they remind me of the nineties and an old denim pinafore i use to wear something i would prefer not to reminisce about - as for stonewash denim i think it can look good on the ultra slim and not many else - ill be stickign to dark denim thanks!

and micro trends :corset lacing, draping, the jumppsuit, sequins

Well jumpsuits have been around for months, and as for corset lacing i think that only looks good for period clothing.

Draping however i think is a timless and chic way of dressing and sequins can make you stand out form a crowd on a night out - alwasy a great thing if you remeber not to go over the top unlike sienna miller who was seen wearing a sequin suit and a sequin top to one of the G.I JOE premiers - not a great look me thinks!

Another trend was biker jackets - personally i think they can look amazing on the right person sadly i just odn't suit them which is a bit of a bummer as i think over an ultra feminie dress they can create an edge to a dress and help to counter act over feminity.

Juxtapositiong hard with soft - a mixture in clothing i love to try to create

I am great beleiver in not becoming a complete trend folloer indivdualting is far more creative and fashionale in my own opiong - whats your opinion will you be buying into the up and coming trends? - opinions?

Official first post

Hahah i actually have a blog, and the fact that i titled this 'official first post' i feel obliged to create a witty, indeering and orignial entry - however im fresh out of ideas which is random for me.

Flats vs Heels! - wth universtiy pending i find mysely with a new justification to shop. I need new flats ... and well new hells too .. well actually shoes in general but i just don't buy shoes. Its weird but is it me or are clothes just much more appealable when it comes to shopping? I don't know what it is but i am very reluctant to purchase shoes - dresses however is an entirely a different story. I love them. I love the chamelon affect a dress can have - how some can be worn an infiante amount of time in various ways and the ultimate feminity i feel when i wear one.

In fashion every woman shouldn't be without a LBD - a staple item due to its classic design. I do agree that everyone should own a classic dress but to me the clour does not necessailry have to be black but thats only due to the fact i am not a fan of wearing black. I like clour and lots of it! However i have an amazing black velvet dress from h&m that i adore and only whish i could wear more.

To me my LBD is in the form of florals!
